Refund policy

Apex 4x4 Customs may accept returns (for a partial/full refund) for legitimate reasons such as:

- Item is defective; see 'Limited Warranty' below for further information.

- Item is not as described in accordance with the purchase/order

Apex 4x4 Customs does not accept returns or cancellations (for a partial/full refund) for reasons such as:

- Change of mind

- The wrong item was ordered

- The item was sold or stolen

- The vehicle has been sold since the date your order was placed and you no longer require the item/s purchased

- The vehicle and/or motor has been damaged due to an accident or mechanical failure since the date your order was placed and you no longer require the item/s purchased

- The vehicle has been in an accident which has resulted in the item being damaged or you're no longer able to fit the item as a result of an accident

- If you or an authorised installer has damaged the item due to inproper installation

- You did not take note of the lead time prior to purchasing the item; at all times this can be found on the home page, within our FAQS page and within the Shipping Policy page. While we make every effort to meet advised timeframes, from time to time we may experience minor delays due to unforeseen interruptions to our service. In such circumstances, a partial or full refund may be offered strictly at our discretion on a case-by-case basis.

Apex 4x4 Customs does not accept responsibility or liability if you have failed to provide the correct information, specifications, requirements or any other relevant information including but not limited to size, make or purpose of the item to suit a particular type of vehicle.
Apex 4x4 Customs staff are experienced industry personnel who provide advice and technical knowhow to the buyer; however, it is the buyers responsibility to ensure they provide Apex 4x4 Customs staff with the correct information, specifications, requirements or any other relevant information including but not limited to size, make or purpose of the item to suit a particular type of vehicle.

All returns that are not the fault of Apex 4x4 Customs are subject to a 20.00% restocking fee. This fee covers such costs as admin, packing and restocking the item. If free postage was given at the time the item was purchased, this will also have to be paid for by the buyer as well as the total cost of returning the item (see 'Shipping Items' below for further information). Both the restocking fee and any postage charges will be taken off the refund amount.
If it is found that Apex 4x4 Customs is at fault both the restocking fee and all postage charges will be waived.

This policy is valid for a period of 30 calendar days from the date the item was dispatched. If the period of 30 days has lapsed, we can't, unfortunately, offer you a refund.

Refund requirements

The following criteria must be met to qualify for a refund:

  • Item is defective and/or;
  • Item is not as described in accordance with the order 
  • Item must be unused 
  • Item must not be damaged 
  • Proof of purchase can be been provided 
  • Item was dispatched within 30 calendar days

If the item does not meet the listed criteria, we reserve the right not to issue a refund.

Limited Warranty  

Limited Warranty applies to a physical item, and only for a physical item, purchased from Apex 4x4 Customs. Limited Warranty covers any defects in material or workmanship under normal use during the warranty period. During the warranty period, Apex 4x4 Customs will repair or replace, at no charge, products or parts of an item that proves defective because of improper material or workmanship, under normal use and maintenance during the warranty period.

The warranty period is 364 days from the date of purchase. A replacement item or part assumes the remaining warranty of the original item or 364 days from the date of replacement or repair, whichever is longer.

Limited Warranty does not cover any problem that is caused by:

- conditions, malfunctions or damage not resulting from defects in material or workmanship

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to have the item repaired or replaced if the item fails to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. Apex 4x4 Customs will either replace or repair the item at no charge, using new or refurbished replacement parts.

No restocking fee and all postage charges are waived in the event of a Limited Warranty claim.

Proof of purchase

To complete your return (for a partial/full refund), we require a receipt, purchase order or other proof of purchase. Please note that without the aforementioned proof of purchase, we will not issue a refund.

You must take care to ensure that the item is packaged so that it will not be damaged while in transit. If the product is found damaged or used beyond what it takes for us to reasonably inspect it, we will not issue a refund.
